Welcome to Salwar Kameez Saree.Over the years, fashion has graduated and the style of draping a saree has gone through a lot of changes. From a two piece tied up clothing to nine yards long draping reverie, the saree has dressed Indian women over the ages, and will continue to do so. Mens clothing in ancient India has been influenced by a lot of external factors. Men wore a long piece of cloth mostly white in colour called dhoti and tie it around their legs so that they could walk and work easily. After the Islamic invasion, Persian clothing entered India and kurta pajama became very popular. Churidaar were worn by both men and women but they accessorized it differently. Rich people wore silk accompanied with gold ear rings, nose pins and bangles, chains and bracelets whereas the poor preferred cotton. With the advent of British, Indian clothing went through a sea of change. Now trousers and skirts became a part of their dressing but Indian clothing never really lost its charm. |
